Meme: Global Blogosphere Amnesty Week (For Apologies)

Jeff VanderMeer declared this week to be Global Blogosphere Amnesty Week, a new meme where we get to apologize to other folks for things that we’ve done (or not done), and I thought maybe I should take this as an opportunity to make amends.

So, here goes:

To my buddies in the blogosphere, I want to sincerely apologize for not always listing the names of your sites on my Bookosphere posts. The simple fact is that if I did this – rather than just linking directly to the posts – I’d never have time to do this in the first place. Still, I wish I could do more, and maybe one day I will be able to do so. For now, I hope that simply linking to your post will do.

To my wife, I want to apologize for seemingly being connected to the computer at the hip. I know it’s no fun sometimes to feel like your husband has been eaten alive by The Matrix.

To friends of mine, I’m sorry if sometimes my responses to your emails have sometimes seemed abrupt or far too short.

To Jay Lake, I’m very sorry that I ended up wasting your writing time with that interview, which was promptly deleted by the software I was using.

  1. Matt –

That was in no wise a time waster! It was literally the first time I’d turned on the Web cam … I’m amazed we got anything at all done.

Shakedown cruise, baby. We’ll do it again.

  2. I don´t know if you need to apologize to other bloggers (to me you don´t, that´s for sure), but that “mea culpa” post (or should I say “meme culpa”? ;-) is a damn good thing to do sometimes. I´ll do it in PWT as well.

  3. Hey, from where I stand, no apology is needed. I was just happy to see my superhero post included in your always interesting round-up.
