Enter the Octopus

Odd-looking marine animals at Dark Roasted Blend!

I can always depend on Avi and Rachel Abrams and the rest of the crew at www.darkroastedblend.com to supply a never-ending assortment of strange and wonderful imagery that astounds even my internet-jaded eyes.

Case in point? This post. It’s where I found the Piglet Squid. You’ve got to go check the rest of these critters out.

Blah blah bloop? Blah bloop? Oink oink.

This thing looks almost like the Sea Monkeys they used to advertise on the back of comic books.

And speaking of Sea Monkeys, check out The Sea Monkey Geek’s site. It’s where I got the picture of the Sea Monkey Nuclear Family you see above. This guy is serious about Sea Monkeys. Brilliant!

My wife and I had a bunch of Sea Monkeys in college and they soon turned cannibal. We were left with maybe three or four massive Ubermensch specimens that we respectfully referred to as our “Sea Gorillas.” Eventually they broke out of their cage. The last time I saw one of them was in “Cloverfield.” Much respect, Mer-Koko. I honor your life path.
