No More Bookosphere

With Gustav safely behind us I’m happy to report that as of today I’m returning to a regular work schedule. There’s one thing, though: I won’t be bringing back the Bookosphere. Why? Because I’ve only got so many
hours in my day, and my Bookosphere posts take too many of those precious hours to put together. I know that you enjoy them, but with my publicity work, my day job and trying to spend time with friends and family between, I just don’t have the time.
It might return if I ever get to a point where I’m freelancing full time, but for now, I’m at my limits and something has to give.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Well, OK. But I’m going to be dejected and apathetic (that’s right, I’m going to mope) about it.
Seriously: A living wage, and your family are far more important than The Bookosphere.
I appreciate the time you did put into it, but I can see that compiling the links took a lot of work (I certainly don’t have the patience / time to do it and I think my life is far less busy than yours)
I approve of being greedy with your time. Huzzah!
No problem Matt. As someone who also compiles links once a week, I know how much of a time sink it can be.
No Bookosphere = sad.
Stress-free Matt who sees his family = glad.
Rock on, my friend.
Too bad, of course. But also fair enough. Life comes first.
I understand why you can’t continue putting those posts together, but it’s disappointing for me, just because it was such a valuable resource. I’d urge you to reconsider, but I know it probably wasn’t an easy decision for you to make, so I’ll respect it and shut up.
It´s a pity, Matt. I loved your Bookosphere. But I agree with Stefan: you must go on and do what you have to do. (I´ll miss it, though.
Making a living is overrated.
Fair cop. Linking in is a time-sink. When you don’t have the time, you can’t make it work. We all know that doing extra things requires carving out time instead of “finding” it.
[...] Farewell to the Bookosphere my favorite part of the day, but good luck to Matt Staggs. There are many roses there to stop and give a sniff. [...]

RIP Bookosphere
[...] Enter the Octopus has decided to screw me over by not doing the huge lists of book links anymore. He gives some reasons, but my laziness is more important so feel sorry for me. [...]

Let me reiterate:
Noooooooooooooooooooooo! Maybe abbreviate it? Or somethin’?
Okay… you gotta do what you gotta do. (And I’m one to talk because I’ve avoided posting to my own blog for, er… well. O my.)
Good for you Matt! I think you need that extra time.
Mark Teppo said it best:
