I must have this book: Ethan Gilsdorf’s “Fantasy Freaks and Gaming Geeks: An Epic Quest for Reality Among Role Players, Online Gamers and Other Dwellers of Imaginary Realms”
I have no idea how this book slipped past me, but now I must have it. I’ve talked ad nauseum about how important gaming has been in my life, so I won’t bore you with it here, but damn, how did I manage to miss this? Check out the author’s website here. I’m hoping that this title won’t be marred with snark.
Now I feel like I must have it. The axe looks so awesome and the attitude the dude holds it is like so awesome.
Great book finding radar.

Have you read The Elfish Gene? That was a decent memoir about a kid in the 70s UK getting into D&D when it first came out.

I read it, but I didn’t really care for it. I thought the tone was a bit on the mocking/patronizing side.
